Accommodations & Travel
The Marine Biological Laboratory has dorms available (single or double occupancy) for the duration of the conference (5 nights: Sep 27 to Oct 2), which you can book when you register. If you choose to stay at MBL, your meals are included, but even if you stay off-site you can purchase a meal-plan when you register.
Dorm stay, single occupancy: $1315 total (includes meals)
Dorm stay, double (shared) occupancy: $935 total (includes meals)
Meal plan only: $455 total
If you choose to stay off campus, there are some hotel options in Woods Hole (a walk away from the conference) and Falmouth (a drive away).
Woods Hole hotels: Sands of Time Inn, Woods Hole Inn
Falmouth hotels: Inn on the Square, Holiday Inn
If you travel in by train or flight, this will most likely be through Boston, Massachusetts. From Boston, you can take a Peter Pan (PP) or Plymouth & Brockton (PB) bus directly to Woods Hole from either South Station or Boston Logan Airport. If you travel in by car, check with the conference organizers for parking information before your arrival.
**PLEASE NOTE: The latest Peter Pan bus on Sunday Sep 27 leaves Boston Logan Airport at 18:15 and Boston South Station at 19:00, arriving in Woods Hole at 21:00. The earliest bus on Monday 28 Sep arrives in Woods Hole by 10:15. Please plan accordingly. There are PB buses to Hyannis that stop in Sagamore (~35 min from Woods Hole) that leave Logan ~hourly until 23:30. Upon arriving in Sagamore you would need to arrange an Uber/Lyft ahead of time to get the rest of the way to Woods Hole. ***
*To increase accessibility of the LBS to Early Career researchers (defined here as any student, postdoc, or individual within five years of graduation), we have reduced registration costs by $100 for these individuals.
Registration is through the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL), and it includes food and drinks during coffee breaks and social events (except the banquet).
You will have the option to add meals and housing when you register, which we highly recommend. While there are a few hotels and Airbnbs in the area, the MBL housing/food will likely be your cheapest and most convenient option -- the MBL dining hall and dorms are all within 5-10 minutes walk of each other and of the conference rooms.
